I have tried to restore my '63 Tradewind as faithfully to original condition as my memory of my Dad's Overlander.

I'm loving this open house! In person there is never enough time to take it all in and now we can take all the time we want to peruse the interiors. Lots of great restorations and archives here.

Robert I love your unique accentsand the fabric pieces are very beautiful. You've really given your airstream a great personality. Whereever did you get an Airstream footstool?!

Grandmaster that's a great restoration. You are second generation Airstreamer, cool. It looks new your faithful to original is very nice.

Jimmini, so many squarestreams. Aren't they cool and different. How rare that must be to get a glimpse of the 5th wheel slideout and brochures. I have seen the Integrity but had not seen the squarestream 5th. Those are really nice. The square corners net lots of storage and livibility. You must be a historian of sorts for the Squarestreams? Thanks for posting all these models. Have you owned more than your current 89?

goransons I like that wrap around dinette, galley and that ceiling, very sleek and a fresh clean contemporary feel. Nice combinations.

Safari 62 Got my pen, where's your book? Very nice woodworking and metal restoration, the bed area looks super too. What is over the fridge at the door? Is this your 22', it's huge inside! Do you know how much the cyber open house is saving me, not to mention being able to travel like this in winter?!

Aria you have a lot of room for entertaining in a 20' Airstream. I really like the wood and the fabric did you reupholster yourself?

Alte797 I haven't seen a 31' rear bath before. Your Airstream looks super and so homelike. Is the highback couch original with reupholstery? The 99 must be a real looker if you are thinking of trading this.

94Tri nice remodel. Fancy bath and couch, love the wood floor too. great transformation, alot of work!

vswingfield you have a big Airstream! What is the snake doctor? That is a stellar entertainment center, that baby is BIG screen! I like the surface of your wood, what is that? Very luxurious unit, nice job.

Ok I have some mulled wine over here and the eggnog is here. Hope we have some others attend. I am having a ball. Thanks for the tours.

I am also enjoying the interiors!

The screen makes a great monitor, too. That’s my screen saver in the photos.

The “Snake Doctor” is simply a piece of bended laminate that slips into place beside the satellite receiver to hide the “Nest of Snakes (cables, power strip, power cables, phone lines, etc…)” The laminate is a scrap from the table/counter top and is Wilsonart Deepstar Mineral. (Wilsonart Home Laminate Cart - Deepstar) The photos don’t really do it justice.

Plans include replacement of the carpet with cork this spring and a new dinette at the same time. Longer-term plans are to replace the dark cabinet fronts and closet doors with ash with zebrawood accents. New photos will be forthcoming.

Hi Carol, welcome back. Yes the old fridge had a exhaust pipe leading to a small hood that vent to the outside (more or less i think) With the new and smaller fridge I decided to close off the original rectangular vent and add this somewhat organic housing and seal it off also. There is also a small exhaust fan built in to the housing. The gasses go out through a channel inside the wall to a small vent on the roof.

Come-on Gene, you know nothing says home and hearth like a few big ol’ cuddly diamondbacks.

2005 Classic

Here are some pictures of our AS. We bought our AS in December 2007 and did a little remodeling on the interior to make it more contemporary.
