Heading South Soon

I have spent the fall installing new floor covering and performing general maintenance to get ready for a few trips south this winter and then a trip to Yellowstone in the summer. We also removed all of the curtains and had them dry cleaned (what a job that was). My wife has been a slave driver about getting this "new to us" AS into top notch condition before Christmas. My life would have been much easier if I had broke down and bought her a new AS instead of a 9 year old rig. I think I flushed the holding tanks 20 times each before they passed her inspection.

This is my first attempt at posting pictures. We'll see how it turns out.

Spotless unit there, Ridge.

I was thinking about how to clean the curtains the other day. Seems intimidating at the moment - what with those plastic curtain attachments etc. I can't figure out how to get them off.

Oh well. Will cross that bridge when I get to it.

Pictures look great. But more importantly I'm impressed your wife is actually inspecting your holding tanks. Seriously, I don't mean that as a euphemism. I really am impressed.

We have the same picture frames (Zlee gave them to us) and were putting our Airstream wine labels in them.

The little polaroid ones? Nice!! Good idea!

I have so many more travel shots now...I think it's time to swap out a few of the old pics.

That's so funny, because I first saw them on Laura's Riveted blog and just happened to walk past them in Bed Bath & Beyond! I've noticed that the Container Store is now selling them singly instead of in the sets like I bought them.

I was just looking at my three today and trying to decide what to put in them.

Your new to you AS is now in excellent shape. I too would have flushed a few times. Your wife has a good man

Here's a good before-after photo of the transformation from Airstream's "Beach Club" upholstery to something a little warmer. It's amazing what a little fabric and a lot of time will do.

I documented the entire project on a different thread. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f39/...ect-61003.html
