It's been a great month and there are so many great photos to pour through!
As always - very tough to judge since every shot (and video) is worthy of the theme. But, based upon theme, visual interest, etc, etc, here are this months finalists:
I realize we're a couple days late now, but I'll put this up anyhow. The theme "streams of sound" was actually an ocean of silence for us; we had the 44,000 acre park all to ourselves, though we didn't venture into the salt flats very far due to the deep puddles.
it is now november 2nd. has the november contest theme been announced? i can't figure out from the finalist post who won? did i miss something? the suspense!

This is an amazing photo, I hope Airstreamer picks it for the next photo of the month.

That's a beautiful photo. What camera are you using? (Unless that's a trade secret ; )
Work got in the way of our announcement after finalists were posted this morning (sorry!).
The winner for October (after again yet another backyard 'discussion') is:
Dufferin!
Capturing a pair of streams, the pipe, and the wind at sunset...
Was a really tough call and second choice goes to 3streams - we all know the sound of cleaning, polishing, and associated expletives are part of streamin' and capturing it in reflection was solid.
No secret, RG - in fact, it's a Canon Rebel XSi with the included 18-55mm lens.
You can see the full resolution version and several other shots from that day over at Flickr. Here's the full size: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2691/...48082925_o.jpg
Fantastic pictures Bredlo. Thanks for sharing them. I'm always jealous when I see the rich variety of environments and landmarks that American Airstreamers enjoy. Europe is equally diverse but it's great to see things we hear about and see in movies. We can imagine ourselves there when the Airstream is in shot. Maybe we need to find a way to see America in an Airstream.
My picture is of us camped on the Atlantic Ocean right up in the North West of Scotland (marked "here"). America and the Newfoundland coast are over 2,000 miles beyond the islands on the horizon.
