Great pictures. I especially like the Bandelier Poster with that perspective and the Almogordo Night is so beautiful with the night sky and last light and graceful foreground. Interesting pictures, looks like 2009 was a good year for you hope the new year will be a good new year of opportunity too for you.

It was a rough year personally. Photographically, I really didn't hit my stride until September. I'm glad you like Bandelier and Alamogordo, they both came out of the fall series.

Love the Choo, we chased our first one, the SP4449!
It was the highlight of this summer to see that beauty! Breathtaking Power!

Hey Bob, things are going pretty good. I have the Trade Wind in dry dock shooting for hitting the road again in early Feb. I should be in southern AZ by March. All my best for 2010 to you.

The train at Chama was definitely a highlight of my year, fun to photograph and fun to ride . I recommend riding if you get the chance.

After I went thru your gallery I had to go right upstairs and pull out
"Yosemite and the Range of Light". I look at those and don't even think of them as BW, more as bound emotions.

Thanks again...

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Rodney,

I like them all, but I especially like the steam locomotive. The black and white format makes it kind of eerie and extra special.

Rodney,
I like all of your photos, but especially Judge Roy Bean's place.

Hey Rodney,

Great looking photos. I know 2009 was tough for you. Hope 2010 is much better.

That picture is one of my favorites as well, Brian. It was a cold morning so the steam was really rolling and hanging low about the yard. With the paint on the train being black, and the setting being what it was, black and white was the natural choice of presentation. It was a fun shoot.

Thanks Dennis. I really enjoyed stopping off there. While I was somewhat disappointed at the actual relics, the legend surrounding Judge Roy Bean has captured my imagination for years, so it was fun to see what was there.

I have never had the pleasure of visiting Yosemite. That will be remeided this spring . You can bet I will be working the photography side of things, and I suspect the large format camera will be coming out of storage for that.

Rodney,

Nice work as always.

It won't be hard for 2010 to be better than 2009.
