Well, I've got plenty pictures of food and dozens of pictures of the airstream, but only one with them both in the same picture.

What a way to start a day camping

So it never made it to the high end of presentation, but home made biscuits with bacon egg and cheese is a great way to start the day. Even nicer that the kid likes to cook in the Airstream. If I could only get her to do that at home.

Tailgating at the WVU vs Maryland Football Game and serving up my girlfriend's spicy turkey chili to all my friends. Plus some others from some of the music festivals we've been to since we've had the Airstream.

- goat cheese globes rolled in crushed, dried wasabi, sweet ginger cookie crumbs, and red Chinese spice

- shrimp on cucumber

One more entry

When I shared with my wife about his months photos she reminded me of our best snack yet with the AS. For those who have heard the story I apologize. in October of 2011 we were approached by a friend of the family with a proposal we could not refuse. At 98 years of age, Selma had decided to give up her airstream. it had been setting parked for the previous 10 years in Myrtle Beach SC with a 3in. hole in the roof allowing water to slowly fill in and then to bake in the high humidity. The deal was we could have it for free as long as we repaired it and put it on the road to travel. Oh and we were not allowed to sell it. Of course we took the offer.
In the spring of 2012 with the repairs complete we surprised Selma by setting up in the parking lot of her retirement community and offering home made brownies fresh from the oven and a little ice-cream and coffee for all who stopped by. This allowed us to tell the story over and over of how generous this lady is.

Attached are photos of our wonderful dessert as well as a photo of Selma and our family and the last one is of Selma and one of the two maps she has marking the places that she and her husband traveled in their previous AS.

Cost of Brownies, Ice-cream and coffee= @ $10.00
The rewards of beginning a new adventure traveling the US = Priceless

I think my wife was right. Best one yet.

Congrats Steve,

I think that was the biggest potluck buffet I've ever seen. Every meal we shared there seemed huge.

Tina

PS - it's fun that I'm standing by Jim and we're staring at the food like we just can't decide what to select next - there was so much!
