March 2011 Photo Contest
We were fortunate to win the February contest and now are thrilled to host the March 2011 photo contest!
Ok gang, it's now time to see those photos! Here's the theme:
Your Most Unique Boondocking Experience
We're looking for those spots that are dear to your heart, extremely remote, maybe not even on this continent... So we want to see those white & black sand beaches, lava fields, camping over 10,000 ft, rain forest of the Pacific NW, camping in death valley, at the base of a glacier, you get the idea.
Must have a of part of your Airstream in the photo & no campgrounds! Please also indicate the location and how challenging it was to get your AS there for bonus points.
THINK REMOTE!
Here's our pic as an example: Boondocking in the Ruby Mountains in Rural Northern Nevada near Elko. Had to tow the AS down a jeep trail 4 miles after driving 40 miles off the highway!
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

No mountains, no ocean...but, nobody else either. Boondocking.

Somewhere between "here" and "there"
Here's one of our favorite spots...just pulled off a dirt road several miles up Poudre Canyon between Fort Collins & Laramie with a couple of friends....not sure quite where, but a delightful spot along the river!

Twinkle - thanks for the photo. Know the spot well as I lived in Bozeman for a while and love to fly fish. Thanks for posting and bringing back fond memories. I live in CO now but still get up to MT frequently!
Great photo!

Let's see how well we match against the rules...
Unique... We were about 1/4 mile from a huge stadium and 100,000 people.
Dear to your heart... Our daughter.
Extremely remote... Alabama.
Not on this continent... Alabama.
Lava fields, rain forest... OK, you got us on that one.
No campgrounds... No problem there.
How challenging... We had to get our Airstream there on Wednesday for a Saturday game! Ding ding ding!
War Eagle.

Hi, we were going to camp at a full hook up camp ground in the North Rim area of the Grand Canyon. My brother told us where this place was, but it was closed for the season so we boondocked about 18 miles from the National Park.

Towed her into a meadow in some seriously 'off road' conditions.

the loveliest village on the plains, my favorite boondocking experience. No hookups and thousands of other rv's to maneuver around, still wouldn't trade it for the world.
