You asked from where does the journey begin. For me this is often the place from where it begins. One of about 2000 vintage water decals tells me to come see the attraction featured or to at least visit the remnants of what was once featured on the water decal. Once visited, I then reproduce the decal and apply it to the door with in the door. I suspect you didn't mean for a figurative, "where does the journey begin" but a literal one...

This is where Anna lives when not being towed down the road. See makes our back yard her home here in Catonsville Maryland 21228. Besides being an incredibly diverse community, Catonsville is know as Music City Maryland. We have a dozen or so stores selling music and musical instruments. We also have 38 places of worship which is more per capita than just about anywhere else in the USA. We only have two Airstreams here however, mine seen above and one a mile away that has not moved in 15 years.
A side factoid; we have towed Anna close to 40k miles in the past five years. More guests have slept in her, than we have combined. she makes for an excellent guest house.

Sitting in the extra driveway in front of the house waiting for the next adventure. Our home is in North Phoenix and it is a wonderful place to live in the winter months but the summers can be a challenge with extreme heat.

I love "Anna"! Do you think I am biased with my name being Anna?? Great theme for this month's pics.

Byron Center, Michigan!

Parked in the rain, at the Library... We were waiting for a 5k Run for the Dynamite Dawgs! Having the Airstream was a great way to stay warm in the rain, and wait for the event to begin.

We have two places that everyone should visit if you're ever in Byron Center, which is only 3 miles west of US 131 in Michigan, just south of Grand Rapids.

1. Byron Center Meats - best meat market east of the Mississippi. Buy their Fireside Fillets and a jar of miracle blend. You'll never find a finer meat for the grill!

2. Houseman's Ice Cream - they've been here longer than I have. One of the few quality, family-owned ice cream shops left... All served from the window of the storefront.

A couple of shots from our home town - Marietta, GA. We love the area, the people, the weather (most of the time), the school system, and the fact that we have been Pope High School "band geeks" - or I guess technically that would be "band parent geeks".

At home, in preparation for a huge band recycling fundraiser, and at the band bake sale. Technically, the tailgating photos are not IN our home town, but not more than a few miles away. No high school band tailgated like we did. Could you pass me the grey poupon?

Hometown is Athol, New York nestled in the Adirondack Mountains. The picture is our front yard the week we left for Myrtle Beach, March, 2012. We love life in the mountains.

Hi Bill,
The Adirondacks were my old stomping grounds. I remember the parties at the Stony Creek Inn well.

The Stoney Creek Inn is about 6 miles from my house, been there a few times too. Mexican night on Sundays was especially good. Good food, good music with the Stoney Creek Band and the beer was cold. Were you from the area? We've lived here 22 years or so. Safe travels.

Bill

We love it here in Marietta (GA) because holidays are a great reason to get dressed up.

Towed Haul and the Toadmobile on the driveway, all set for for our final run of 2011.

Hometown is Chatham, Ontario.

A nice thing about Chatham is that it's a friendly little place, mostly. Oh, and the mayor rides a motorcycle!

PS, I must remember to unbolt that basketball board from the top of the airstream....
