One of our favorite campgrounds at Taquamenon Falls Michigan, River Bend Campground, right outside of a little place called Paradise. Last time we were there we had it to ourselves and you could hear the bubbles break on the water. No hookups and no generators allowed. This is one of the reasons we wanted the rear wrap around windows and dinette of the FB.

O.K.
No pavemant.
No hook ups.
Away from home.
Not a RV park.
had a campfire.
Boondocking on BLM land. Not a campground.
Cadiz dry lake is within sight of the center of nowhere.
google earth it and you can go too. (double points)
A flock of Airstreams (triple score)
Do I win?

Second time out
Ok, I'm not in some remote campsite. But hey, we've only had our trailer, our first trailer, for a little over a month and I thought my wife got the essence in this first shot.
And of course the second shot is why we bought the trailer to begin with. To take our two boys on the road! That's a shot at the Chattanooga Aquarium.

This is my version of the same kind of place. Well, it does have one big tree.
About 15 miles east of Tonopah, Nevada.

Where is Everyone?
You have all got to be out there in the wilderness. Snapping photos while enjoying your vacations. Let's see some boondocking photos!!!!!
Here are mine. Posted for their boondocking specialty not photographic quality. Bad scans of very bad shots with a throwaway camera in the year 2000! Who would have thought that we would be where we are now in the digital age.
Anyway, these 2 shots are down a VERY steep "road" off Highway 1. The road crews leftover spot. It actually has a small waterfall toward the back. A truly wonderful Boondocking spot.

Cool, really, Boondocking
Here we are boondocking last week in the mountains of southern Wyoming.
The site is at USFS Bottle Creek Campground at the 9,000 foot level, just below the snow line. It's located 100 miles west of Laramie and 60 miles north of Steamboat Springs, CO. Night time temp was 37 degrees, daytime 64 degrees. Elk and deer were common sights.
Looks like we can ask for extra points from the following items from this months guidelines:
5. Forest Service camps
6. Extra points for remoteness
7. Double extra points for revealing nifty and "unknown" boondocking locations
9. campfires always add value.

Imagine 200+ commercial generators running full-out for 5 days...
We didn't transfer food, we just plugged in the fridge to the generator. We did the opposite of many people. There were many people that wound up either very sick or dead from running their generators inside their garages to keep them from being stolen. We locked the generator in the garage, with the trailer power lead going out to the trailer, and stayed there. The whole house could have been (and probably was) filled with CO, but since we were not in it, no problem.
We also were the only ones in our neighborhood with a Honda, no one could hear it running, and couldn't figure out why we had power and no one else did.

Antique Pedaler, is this in the Snowy Range? I think that's too far east. Anymore details for additional credit to spread around the boondocking aura? ~G Looks like a great FS site.

Hi Max and Georgia, No, Bottle Creek CG is in next mountain range west of The Snowies. It's in the Sierra Madres.....really isolated.

Great Area codybear!
Does this count?
Boondocking at 7000' - No hookup
- No electric
- No nada for 6 months
- No paved road for over a mile and a half
- Campfire is behind the table
Okay so it was on my property as I was building but hey 6 months is a loooong time.
