July 2006 Photo Contest

For July we're looking for photographic excellence. Please keep those cameras handy as you travel. Composition, subject matter (Airstream), focus, and lighting.... not in any one particular order...are the keys to winning a crisp $5 bill.
I'll select the winner at the end of the month from my location in the Redwoods of N. California.
Happy shooting and good luck to all.
Please post all bribes to the address listed in my profile... my unbiased opinions are my own.....

Nice start Balrgn!

Ah, .... Razorback? IS that an Airstream on fire!!!!????

Just a reminder to all you shutterbugs... subject matter for the winning photo for July MUST be Airstream. You can submit any amount of great photos to catch my attention and demonstrate your talents but.... only an Airstream photo will earn you your reward.

Got a nice crisp $5 bill with somebodies name on it so come on what 'er ya waitin' for?

My trusty Steeds

Just out arranging things in the yard last night. I put new batteries in the camera, and did not reset the date.....ooops.

What kind or anti sway device do you use with the three point hitch on the Farmall?

No 3pt

Farmall's usually used a 2 pt hitch... 3 pt was an aftermarket thing. The Super A's , which this is, had a 1 pt hitch. I have neither, just drawbar. No gas gauge, so haven't calculated the mileage... one less thing to worry about. Doesn't go fast enough to worry about sway... but I've been trying to contact Hensley to talk to them about a hitch for it.

I entered this photo in the contest at the International Rally in Salem under Airstream digital photos..........and won an "honorable mention" (third place). It was pretty stiff competition.....with lots of great shots. So........I thought I'd re-enter it this month (was also in April contest, but 65GT's was better) and see what happens. It was taken at a campground near Banff with Tunnel Mountain in the background.
It's a tough crowd of "photogs" out there in "ASforumsland"!!

Man, the things ya learn on this forum. The only Farmall I got to use had a 3 pt hitch so I assumed that was the norm. Didn't know I was operating a "hotrod" at the time

Now the real question, what's the speed rating on those paddle tires and does the use of calcium lead to more blowouts

Here's one taken a couple of weeks ago. Of course you all know where this is and I never tire of going there. So enchanting and magical. One day I hope to catch snow on the peaks.
