No 3pt

Farmall's usually used a 2 pt hitch... 3 pt was an aftermarket thing. The Super A's , which this is, had a 1 pt hitch. I have neither, just drawbar. No gas gauge, so haven't calculated the mileage... one less thing to worry about. Doesn't go fast enough to worry about sway... but I've been trying to contact Hensley to talk to them about a hitch for it.

I entered this photo in the contest at the International Rally in Salem under Airstream digital photos..........and won an "honorable mention" (third place). It was pretty stiff competition.....with lots of great shots. So........I thought I'd re-enter it this month (was also in April contest, but 65GT's was better) and see what happens. It was taken at a campground near Banff with Tunnel Mountain in the background.
It's a tough crowd of "photogs" out there in "ASforumsland"!!

Man, the things ya learn on this forum. The only Farmall I got to use had a 3 pt hitch so I assumed that was the norm. Didn't know I was operating a "hotrod" at the time

Now the real question, what's the speed rating on those paddle tires and does the use of calcium lead to more blowouts

Here's one taken a couple of weeks ago. Of course you all know where this is and I never tire of going there. So enchanting and magical. One day I hope to catch snow on the peaks.

4th leftovers

Traveling down the Payette River in Idaho yesterday, I spotted this float. Couldn't resist it, especially the sunglasses on the fish...note the highly obscured AS in the background.

And in northern Utah, some nice clouds. The wide angle does crink the AS and TV a little, though.

Well, we're one week into the month and I'm impressed with some of the photo work posted for this months contest. I've got one favorite already .... but I'm not going to give any clues.... I'm still looking for the best... creative, well composed, color saturated, sharp focus, eye popping Airstream photo! Keep 'em coming folks, you can't win without an entry!

Looks like this is the month for rear end views, so I'll add my picture of our Bambi's rear end in the Green Mountain State this past weekend.

So how was it? looks like a pretty campground. I'm very familiar with the neighborhood, (mom grew up there), but I've never actually been in the campground itself. looks nice, though...

It's a very pretty campground (Bald Mountain Campground, Townshend, VT), peaceful, and serene. (o' course myboyburt livened the place up a bit with her preview of coming Aluminations attractions which rgesch and I and several of the surrounding campers thoroughly enjoyed). It'll be a great place for our Great Pumpkin/Harvest Moon youth rally, when Vermont is dressed in peak color.

Here's another picture where you can see rgesch's Caravel to the right of us, and if you squint really hard you can see myboyburt's shades in the distance over our truck bed.

Oregon Coast

Here's a shot taken last week on our way up the Oregon Coast to drop our Airstream off for recoating (note the bumper is primed and the Sovereign insignias have been removed in preparation for recoating).
