January Photo Contest 2017 - Airstream Aspirations
Welcome to the January Photo Contest 2017.
This time of year, we often think back to the past, then contemplate the future with resolutions and determination. In that spirit, this month's theme is about any positive expectation, plan, hope, or desire as it relates to your Airstream. We'll call them Airstream Aspirations. This can be approached from any direction. It may be a photo of a favorite area (think red rocks of Sedona, or vineyards of Sonoma, etc.) you want to visit again this year, or a favorite spot you want to encourage others to visit. It can be a photo of your progress on a restoration that represents your Airstream Aspiration to camp in your project before the end of 2017. It may be the purchase of a new Tow Vehicle or ProPride, or 16" Sendels and Michelins, that represents your plan to tow many miles over the coming year. It can even be that new Airstream you took a selfie with at the dealership as you decide and dream. If an explanation is appropriate, include it. If controversy breaks out over which tires are best or whatever, we'll take all input, as long as the photo includes some part or all of your Airstream.
Good luck and best wishes for a great Airstreaming New Year,
Roy

Here is a picture of my 1966 Airstream when I traded her in for my new 2016 Airstream 20FC. My aspirations are to take here out on even more road trips this year. I got nine of them in in 2016. As I remember the bittersweet time it was to part with my old Airstream, I look forward to all the new people I will meet and the new places to see with the new one.

2017 Airstream Aspiration
Most of the cosmetic changes were done in 2015...but needed a lift, the furnace fixed and the oven fixed so it sat out 2016. Looking forward to taking it out in 2017. Maybe even starting to paint it....

Renovating our 1997 Safari
I have been working on and off on our 1997 Safari. I painted out all the cabinetry, installed wood floors and continue to update whenever I have time. Not sure why the third image is upside down - but that is the view from my front window

2017 Airstream Aspirations is to get the '89 Excella back on the road. Started working on it in 2015 and took it out then, in 2016 it was getting new axles. Have furnace, oven, everything working. Needs paint, but it's ready to roll.

Since 1957 I have had a thing for Dale, but Roy kept getting in the way.

Our New Home
My wife fell in love with the Airstream when she first saw it. I just had to say YES when she asked if we could get it. Our hopes for 2017 is to just get out and enjoy the travels and good times that all airstreamers talk about.

I've wanted an Airstream since I was 3 or 4 and I saw my first one. No bullshit. For almost my entire life. I bought one recently and told you all about it. I am *almost* completely done restoration proofing her. I've got the floors to put it, the weird AC ceiling thing to remove and replace with a window, stairs and shelves or benches over the wheel well to build. My vision for this year, in fact for the next couple of months is to be able to produce enough product to fill it and open my boutique. I have a tentative date of May 15th.
