With our pals (Nige & Geri) at Harwich, UK waiting for the ferry to the Hook of Holland in May last year. Crossed the North Sea to visit our Airstreaming friends in the Netherlands.

WOW- What a GREAT topic- love the pics AND stories....this was our first year of retirement so we went on an extended vacation. We left Florida in early June and returned mid-October. We used our Air conditioner a total of 2 hours all Summer. We started the trip to our land in NC to build our "mountain home" for our Airstream. Then we headed up to do some camping with family at Moosehead Lake in Maine. My husband's father (in his 80's) bought a new camper just before we got there- it had been over 40 years since he had camped with his Dad. After spending a few weeks with his Dad, we headed for Canada- New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. So many wonderful things up there, we will have to spend a whole Summer there again. We headed back to Maine to visit with family again, back up to Moosehead lake after selling our canoe and visiting Llbean to acquire 2 kayaks! We went to Sugarloaf where we got married and looked up the man who married us 40 years ago...the cold weather was shooing us South, so on the way, we caravan-ed with his Dad to NH to get a ride in a sailplane. What a great way to see the Fall colors...his Dad headed back to Maine to winterize his camper, while we headed farther South in search of warm weather, stopping to see friends in NY an Va. A quick stop back to our new digs in NC, and then back to Fla stopping at campgrounds along the way on waterways to do more kayaking. We could not have had a better trip!

My favorite moment of 2014 would be my 1st camp out with my trailer. We are still in the restore mode but it was a rallie not to far from my house. My unit camped out at Worlds of Fun RV park. (I started to work there part time to earn money for my trailer). Well I was parked next to my unit president and the other side of me was the region 8 president. People in my unit and region 8 president helped me with knowing how to hook up and set my trailer. I also learned how flush the black tank too. My trailer is a 1958 26' Overlander so I didn't get the talk at the dealership.

This is only one of a host of "best moments" from 2014. Like someone else had posted, we retired this past year and we made an awesome trip up through Maine, New Hampshire and a good part of the northeast. This picture, though, is our end of year trip to Jurassic Park. Kidding, on our way to Pasadena for the Rose Parade, just one of the interesting stops along the way.

Great moments! Keep them coming... This might even be therapeutic - hot cup of coffee, watching the snow come down, looking through photos from last year.
I'm noticing a little trend with first year retirees. Marie and I retired this year and spent a few weeks tumbling through New England as well. So maybe your "Favorite 2014 Airstream Moment" was the kiss at the summit of Mount Washington?

We just took a 2500 mile trip to a relative's 70th wedding anniversary in San Diego and on the way home we hit the big rain storm coming up the California coast back to Oregon. One of our planned stops was to visit my cousin in Los Gatos and the Saratoga Springs campground was only 7 miles away from his home. This park was difficult getting into and especially getting across the rickety bridge to our campsite right on the bank of the creek. The rains, downed leaves and mud made the campsite less than desirable for walking our dogs, but it provided the best photographic opportunities on our whole trip!

Beautiful pictures “VT Wonderer"! We’ve been to Banff before, but can hardly wait to make a return trip in our new AS. Where did you stay in Banff? Two Jacks Lake just 5 miles outside of town is a beautiful campground. Once we retire hope to make a trip to the east coast.

These are great photos and great memories. I know there are more "Favorite 2014 Airstream Moments" out there. Keep them coming in.
Maybe your favorite moment was when the blue Popsicles were appeared at your favorite rally...
