Our decision to go south was the perfect answer to the question of "what to do for the holidays", & we're looking very forward to repeating the adventure in the years to come !!

Hi Paul
Although I was thinking about photos showing Airstreams being rescued I did not think about it the other way around.
Thanks for the story. It is true that sometimes our Airstreams can rescue us also and take us away to a better place.

I got 2 free cool photo apps for my iPhone that some of my fellow streamers might be interested in: Frametastic & Pic Collage
They made creating 'Timeless' memories of our Airstream adventure so far easy ENJOY~

This is a pic of these two kind folks locking the door for the last time before they handed over the keys to us. In the shed where they stored it. What memories a picture brings back. I talked to them every day for the next two weeks, asking questions, trying to figure out things. A person could not get a better buying experience.
Airstreamers are a good breed. I will always remember their final words of advice. "Lock the door, lock the door, lock the door!"

This brought me to the verge of tears. Even though some fantastic images have been posted in this thread, your photo and accompanying narrative really pulls at the heart strings.
Bless all the caring, kind people out there....with or without an Airstream.

2011. Look at the shine on the TT: they didn't do that much in the '60s.
And when did the so-called "vanity plates" begin? I don't remember seeing many here in Canada at all when I was a youngtser.
All in all though, a very nice looking pair!

You're right about it being 2011, but...

OooOoo... Now, it's hard to tell from a photo that actually IS from the '50s (or is it '60s? IIRC, that is a '59 Caddidiliac towing it) but to me, the 2011 shot is shinier
[Edit:] Well, duh; the photo is dated 1963

According to: http://www.licenseplates.tv/history.html
"Pennsylvania manufactured the first custom, vanity or personalized license plate in 1931"

I'll make a wild guess that you both have like this "timeless" look pretty much all the time and not just for the vintage open house. Nice!
Thanks

I know it is my fault for choosing "timeless" as a theme now as I am being pulled into a time warp continuum of past, future and present and am even more disoriented then usual!
Great shot.

I am so glad that you posted this photo, Steve....
We were revisiting your thread last night and I spent some time again with this photo.
One of my all time favorites long before this contest. And always will be.
Anyone that has not read Steve's Thread please check it out. As I've said before......AMAZING !

That makes 17 Airstreams in your photo. Nice group photo!
There are some of the best family/friend and group photos I have ever seen of Airstreamers out and about. I hope Airstream Marketing people are checking out the monthly photo contests and getting in touch to use these photos.
If not they are missing out!
Thanks nautiqueman
