January 2011 Photo Contest
Having won the last photo contest, which happened to coincide with a very sad event for many photographers...
I have decided to honor the passing of an era - Kodachrome photography.
On 30 December 2010, Dwaynes Photo in Parsons, Kansas, officially ended their Kodachrome processing,
effectively ending Kodachrome's 75-year-long career.
Kodachrome

So for January's theme, since we can't post Kodachrome pictures online, I have chosen:
"So Mama, don't take my Kodachrome away"
Imagine what photography would have been like without Kodachrome 
All submittals must be black & white - no color.
They can be color shots that have been turned into B&W with photo editing software,
but no color photos will be considered this month.
Besides that, the only other rule is they have to include an Airstream or part of an Airstream...

Although not an award-winning shot, a proud day nonetheless as I was bringing her home as a new owner. This is on Wolf Creek Pass - what a cool thing to see in your rear view mirror! One hand on the steering wheel, the other shooting memories with my camera. The trailer is up on blocks right now but I will soon have pictures with a beautiful back drop.

How most bizarre! I just checked Shawn's picture from my wife's computer (nice shot, by the way!), and included in his post was a whole pile of Google ads! I wonder if it was because I wasn't logged into airforums from her computer.

Nope, not from my computer, either. Like I said, I think maybe it was because I was't logged into Airforums from Maria's computer, just observing a thread as a non-registered user, for all intents and purposes.

That's weird -- I like google and all (use it for email), but unless there's a rev-share there I'm not interested in putting up ads! I don't see anything odd on my end either.

The photos were taken here in Cleveland,TN during the Christmas Day snow storm. It was a record snowfall of 7".
