January 2010 Photo Contest

I have the honor of selecting a theme for this month! I've actually had one in the back of my head for awhile, kinda like a "if I ever win" sort of thing. So here goes...

Being that it's January, winter and "off season" in many parts, I thought it would be fun to give everybody a chance to stay warm and take another look at all the great photos they already have in their collections. Now if you are in the midst of your camping season or a hardy winter soul...great, you can play too and compose some new shots!

January also seems appropriate to start at the beginning "A" as in "Abstract Airstream Art" which is the theme.

Your entries can take different forms...

• Details, details, details - I've always enjoyed the shots that really show off the beautiful details on our Airstreams and make me stop and think to recognize what part of the trailer it actually is
• Creative altered or "tweaked" images - get creative, be artistic, show your talent in seeing things with through a different mindset with special effects, colorization or ???
• Reflections - sometimes the images that are captured in the reflections on windows or aluminum are as picturesque as the location itself

The only real "rule" is that your entry must include an Airstream or portion of an Airstream. The key is to look at your "Airstream As Art". Think of these entries as the type to hang framed on a wall in a contemporary art showing...

this is something that i was doodling with a few months ago.

my cumputer lets me shift and change the colors to get a different view of the subject.

it is really only a decoration and is not supposed to resemple, replace or represent the US flag.

Nice entries so far...I can tell it's going to be a GREAT bunch! I know I can't play, but here's a couple of images I've "tweaked"...just to get some additional creative juices flowing and cogs turning.
