I might just get this in before the deadline tonite!!

This may best describe MY "new beginning" in the best way possible.

Here I am last summer, putting on the famous "Big Red Numbers" on my 69 Safari.

I managed to secure the very next number in succession (#22426) from my Grandparents Airstream, back in the day...looooong ago, when we all traveled with the WBCCI Michigan Unit. (1968-1976)

So, in essence, this represents my next chapter....my own "New Beginning"...

I think the G'Parents would approve !!!!

When it is my time, I want to go peacefully,
And in my sleep.....Just like my Grandfather....
Not screaming, kicking and in a state of panic,
like the other passengers in his car were......

First sighting is a new beginning

Our life changed one day when my "eagle-eyed" husband was driving down a back road in NH and caught a glint of aluminum out of the side of his eye. This shot of our soon-to-be-ours Bambi II was taken from the road where he first sighted it. The scary part was that the trailer was only visible from the road for about 50 feet; after that it was hidden by buildings and trees. Lady Luck was on his shoulder that day! It's not the prettiest photo in the bunch but it does represent our "new beginning" of our life with our Bambi II.

This is at Kirk Creek Campground north of Morro Bay, California. Our Airstream is in the foreground, and our good friend Gene's in the background. This happens to be our favorite place to camp...when you can get in there as there are no reservations. Click image for larger version

Thumbs up Great Photos!

WOW!

Thank you everyone for submitting some really wonderful photos! It was great that we stuck to the theme this month and some are funny and others serious but all are very good. Stay tuned for the winner, I need another day to review them all again. As far as I am really concerned, everyone is a winner this month but we need one to stand just a little taller.

I'm 6'-3" tall, does that make it any easier?

WHOA - The 7' cowboy shrunk! Been posting and rallying so much he hasn't been eating right. Or something.

Still way off topic: Hey Kevbo, any good photos of the vintage trailers last weekend? I meant to stop in there and ran out of daylight.
