Has anyone put a photo tower on their Airstream?

If anyone has experience with mounting a hunting stand with a swivel seat on the top of their Airstream, I would be interested in what they used, what precautions, reinforcing, etc, were required, and how it ultimately worked. Specifically, it might be used for auto racing or any sport where there is continuous circular activity on a track. Help is appreciated. Thanks, Msmoto

I've been on the forums here for 2 or 3 years, never heard of anyone doing it.
I don't want to rain on your parade - there might be a way to do it, but I would be very cautious.
You would have to make sure the load attachment points were on the ribs.
You would have to do it in such a way as to not induce water leaks. I would think that adding that kind of load to the roof would cause enough roof flexing to cause the seam sealer to degrade and begin leaking.
I'll watch for more input, post your results if you move ahead with it; I and others would be interested.

That would be called a Skydeck. It's an Airstream Motorhome.

This would probably be cheaper and easier than making any modifications to your trailer.

I would not do this... the roof is not meant to be walked on!
