December 2012 Photo Contest - People having fun
Dec 2012 – Photo Contest – People having fun
I know many of you love to have fun or will go out of your way to make sure others are having fun, especially while camping.
ONE RULE: The shot must contain at least one person having fun while camping. That person might be you, your significant other, the kids, the grandkids, other family members, friends, strangers….. any or all the above.
You can enter as many as you like as often as you like.
So in the famous words of Pat Benatar “Hit me with your best shot”.
Or in a photo contest about people “Hit me with your best side”.

Frankly, I don't think a stipulation involving "camping" is a good choice when 80% of the trailers are in storage or parked this time of year.
So, one would probably have to dig up an old shot (if they had one) which removes any creative challenge.
Many of us also travel solo or with the significant other and there just aren't an abundance of other people around, never mind those who are having "fun" - at least in an overt way.
Count me out on this one.

We were camping and took this picture of our TV with it's mistress. As you can see the TV is having fun.
To be honest I just wanted to post our TV paired with our 25'FC

Fly at Night, As we are both on the forums often, i have come across many of your post in the last year. You seem to be a very fun person. I'll bet you have a photo or two sitting around. It does not have to be current. I hope you do post something.

December 2012 Photo Contest - People having fun
The photo below represents one of the very memorable caravans that I had the opportunity to take. This was taken during the Vintage Airstream Club's Wagon Wheels Caravan to the WBCCI International Rally in Dayton, Ohio. We were awaiting our Canal Boat Tour and took the opportunity to compose our group Caravan Photo while waiting. I am afraid that the quailty isn't great . . . my camera was an early Sony Camera utilizing a 3.5" floppy diskette. (I was volunteer digital photographer for the Caravan) There were a number of charter members of the Vintage Airstream Club on this Caravan.
The photo below is another from the same caravan -- 1999 VAC Wagon Wheels Caravan to WBCCI International Rally, Dayton, OH. In this photo we are playing a game called "The Hat Game". I can't remember having a more memorable time during a caravan.
The photo below was taken in 2003 shortly after I purchased my Minuet. I was introducing my two Chihuahua puppies to their new traveling home in this photo. (The little girl is glaring at her brother as she didn't enjoy sharing my attention with him.)
The photo below is of the same two Chihuahuas about a year later when they recognized their beds being brought into the Minuet. It didn't take them long to decide that Airstreaming was for them.
The photo below is of a very dear friend from the 1999 VAC Wagon Wheels Caravan. Bill Scott was a gentleman who had a smile and a kind word for everyone he met. Sadly, he passed away a few short years following this photo. He truly enjoyed every adventure with his 1961 Bambi.

tiger, sorry, but I have absolutely nothing that meets your criteria - people having fun camping as I have Airstreamed solo. Totally alone. For a "fun person" I have somehow managed to come up looking like a skunk-at-a-picnic in this respect.
And right now I am parked for the winter - solo. If there was a local rally I would have gone and probably would have a suitable photo, but there weren't any. It would appear that B.C. Airstreamers travel a lonely road.
I will sit this one out and enjoy the submissions of others.

Hi, FAN. You are trying to disappoint me. I have read your posts and you are a very creative person. Cameras have timers and Airstreams have mirrors. Some of the pictures that I post on this forum are several years old and were not taken for any photo contest. Now, I have to look into my achives to see if I might have a picture that qualifies, or maybe one that doesn't.
