Where's the Airstream?

I will accept this input and give it my vote if you can provide convincing proof either that you are standing on top of your Airstream or that Flor De Mayo took this photo from the door of your Airstream.

Sequoia Camping

If you've read my thread, you'll know that one of the two key reasons that Marie and I bought our Airstream was because of how from 2008 to 2011, I had become the leader and organizer of camping trips for not only our own many mini vacations, but for large weekend outings with 6-12 other friends. I was the one who loaded up my SUV with enough sleeping bags, pads, tents, firewood, and food to make a whole camping trip successful. It got to the point where my car had 5 very friendly people in it, the trunk was overflowing, a hitch mounted rack was piled up, and the roof rack was over a foot high. We decided we needed an upgrade if we were to keep these outings going.

So we bought a small vintage Airstream. After a year of working on it during the weeks and going to school on weekends when I would have rather been camping, August 2012 was finally our real "proof of concept" of why we bought the thing in the first place. We brought 10 friends together in Sequoia National Forest, for a weekend of hiking, meteor shower watching, sliding down natural waterslides, and cave exploring. In all, the trailer was exactly what we intended-- a comfortable food preparation and cooking place, storage for all the gear, a warm place to hang out in the cold mornings, and of course a very plush bed for the two hosts...

The photo is of us enjoying a campfire after a light rain ended--just in time for us to make some smores and carmelized peeps. And I've thrown in a bonus link to a picture I added from our trip on another thread: How fun Natural Waterslides can be...

What have I done to myself? Only a couple of days and already many good shots. If the photos keep coming like that for the next 27 days, I will have to stay sober New years eve to be able to spend time looking through them all.
Come to think of it, I haven't drank like that in years. So keep "hitting me with your best shot"
PS...FaN, you enjoy watching the birds have fun? Hit me with some birds.

ummmmm.....there seems to be a misconception that I like birds. Right now I'd like to shoot a few - but the government took our guns away and replaced them with potato peelers.

The darn crows wake me up because they're pecking at the Fantastic Fan cover over my bed. I am scared they are going to crack it. The coastal seagulls have also headed inland looking for better pickings, and are pooping all over my trailer. I am on constant "poop patrol" with a rag so I can wipe it off before the clear coat is marred.

Besides that, I am rather enjoying playing the martyr - and am happily engaged in a sulk.

That isn't quite my "best shot" - but I'll keep trying!

Yes crows can be very distructive, and I hear they don't taste good.
Long as you are talking about being a martyr, here's a bit of a misnomer...there is no such thing as a "sea gull".
Kind of like being a little pregnant...well maybe .
Now then there are:
Glaucous gulls
Iceland gulls
Ivory gulls
Ross gulls
Herring gulls
Ring-Billed gulls
California gulls
Greater & Lesser Black-backed gulls
Laughing gulls
Black-headed gulls
Bonaparte's gulls
Little gulls
and another couple doz. I don't remember. The point is we call our trailer Airstreams because they are we call them sea gulls because we don't. Anyway it was fun I just wish I had a picture of them to post
