Fall Reflections Nov. 08
This was the scene from my porch here in NC this fall. My house is about 100 ft behind me while taking this picture.

Sorry I just saw your comment now. That was taken at Tin Can Tourists Rally and is a David Winick custom done for the CEO of Airstream. It's a looker. I would absolutely love that to be my Airstream. Go to vintage trailering.com I believe you can buy that beauty for the special price of $60,000. But it's gorgeous!!
OK one last entry from me for December. Our Airstream ornament.

My turn!
As I sit here awaiting Santa's arrival...I thought I'd take a minute to add a couple of my "reflection shots" - great theme for the end of the year and lots of great submittals!
1) Chimney Rock - Bayad, NE
2) Great Sand Dunes - NM
3) Cactus - Fountain Hills, AZ
4) Caravan - outside Creede, CO
5) Sunset - Denver, CO
6) Great Sand Dunes - NM (my current avatar)
Have fun Dave ~

In Assategaue, MD - May 2008
This was taken this spring on our family trip to Assateaque right before I went back onto Active Duty - May 2008 (I know the date in the photo says 2004) but I hadn't even bought this 58 yet!
Take care,
Rob

And the winner is...
Happy New Year! The judging for the December contest results comes from my 34 footer parked here at Ocean Lakes CG in Myrtle Beach, SC.
We are enjoying ringing in the New Year camping with friends from the Washington DC Unit. Forum members that helped in the judging for the Dec contest are Sugarfoot and ItsIt. We had a lot of fun this morning going over the submissions for the theme "Reflections".
Without further ado...the winner for December is post number 31 titled 'Camp Reflections' by Kevin Barnes. The photo encompassed an awesome use of the double entondra "reflection" in a naturally beautiful environment.
Honorable mentions for the contest include post number 46 and Shari's 'Great Sand Dunes' submission. This morning we discussed the wonderful painterly...almost impressionist...quality this photo offers. I would be remiss if I did not mention my photography teacher's submission - post number 8 which we affectionately titled 'Well Placed Rivets'. It's worth mentioning that this photo of the Bambi, which was on display at MOMA (NYC), was not contrived in any way. It was pure luck.
Kevin, congrats on a great photo. We would like to hear any details on the place the picture was taken and how the photo came about. We look forward to your January contest.
All the best to you all in 2009,
--Dave

Camping Reflections
Thanks Everyone, it a honor to win with all the great entries. The picture was taken at Porteau Cove Provincial Park. It is on the Sea to Sky Hwy between Vancouver and Whistler Mountain. It is one of our favorite spots, its close to home but feels like your many miles away. After throwing another log on the fire and going back to the Trailer to get the cats out I saw the reflection of the scene on the freshly polished skin. So I grabbed the camera and took the shot.
