Kejimikujik National Park, Nova Scotia, Canada
View from our site...not hard to take!! If heading east in Atlantic Canada...this is a great place to explore...hiking, canoeing...and relaxing
"Kejimkujik is... a rare refuge for old growth forests and the species that depend upon them; at the core of the second largest biosphere reserve in Canada; the keeper of stories and memories of the Mi’kmaq who have traveled and lived in the area for thousands of years; a rock-girded seashore of world-renowned beauty."

Lots of beautiful sites and sights.
With the theme of Summer fun for the month of August, you can't help but think of the impending end of summer for those who have to return to school. Having a 14 year old who will be starting her sophomore year it can be exciting and a little depressing all the same. We were able to get out for one last trip as Daddy-Daughter trip. No matter the setting or the view from the trailer, this photo still is one of my favorites
The fact that she still wants to spend time with her old man being unplugged from the world and enjoying time with each other is special to me. Look close and you can see the smile. If I had a polished trailer you would see mine also.

Summer Fun - Paper Mache
One of my hobbies is paper mache. Summer is a great time to do mache because it dries quickly.
Sometimes I even get paid for it via special-event decor......
I do a lot of paper mache on the road too. The wallpaper paste, pieces of cardboard, and newspaper doesn't take much room. I usually stick the cardboard and newspaper underneath one of the dinette cushions. I like to sit outside the FaN and craft away.....
A couple of weeks ago I stopped at a roadside flea market (another summer-fun thing), found this aquarium, and turned it into a salad bowl....
Anything those goes into the FaN - I like it to have a multitude of purpose. The salad bowl might also make an interesting lamp, but needed a base. So, made a base out of paper mache (you can see it drying in the photo above, second from the top).
Here's the lamp in the dark - sorry, it didn't turn out very clear - don't know why.
Oh well. It's another entry for the Monthly Photo Contest (more summer fun!)......
