August 2009 Photo Contest
CHILLIN’ in the HEAT
Welcome to the August 2009 Photo Contest! With August being one of the hottest months of the year, we are all looking for ways to beat the HEAT and stay COOL. This month's theme examines these polar opposites.
Entries for consideration should convey something of HEAT and/or COOL. Keep in mind that the words HEAT and COOL can have several meanings and is subject to individual interpretation. Show me what it means to you.
Winning shots will be inspired by the theme and creativity is encouraged. Most importantly, an Airstream or part of an Airstream must be included in the photo.
Y’all have fun, and go take some pictures!

Same trip as Richard's, about 1/2 mile away and the next morning from where his was taken. Really cool and surreal shot for an Arizona scene, if I do say so myself.
I don't know why I even bother, how's anyone going to top PeeWee's entry?

Wonder how that TV handles it. Guess you'd have to "Ask the Man Who Owns One."
Great shot, PeeWee!

Keep 'em coming
Great y'all! That's the idea. All awesome "hot shots" and "cool pics" so far.
I know there are more out there. Just in case I've been too cryptic in defining this month's theme, here's a little more help.
COLD & COOL - low temperatures, ice & snow, cool water, cool drinks, cool color pallete OR "That's cool", relaxed, laid back, stylish, impressive, mellow, appealingly unusual
HEAT & HOT - high tempertures, high energy, melting sunshine, campfires, warm color pallete OR "That's hot", desirable, attractive, sexy (keep in mind this is a family show )
HOT shots can be taken from a COOL angle. There are HOT locations and COOL locations. You can be CHILLIN as in relaxing with your Airstream, favorite beverages, and friends.
Here's some examples of Mom "chillin" in front of the Airstream, on the road on a blistering hot day, and an unusually cool autumn shot.
The field is really wide open as long as part or all of an Airstream appears in the shot. Hope this helps to get everyone's imagination going. And by the way, Artstream's Tee's are really nice! I wore my new "Paw Stream" Tee today.

The fresh chill of the fall, the heat from the campfire, and the coolness of hanging with Dick & Ethyl Perkins around the fire - Airstreamer's as cool as they come! Good time, good friends out in very the COOL Letchworth State Park, NY.

Our Best Shot
IMHO this is the best photo that we took during our 30-day adventure in May.....I have it as a background image on my iphone so that I can be reminded each day of the "coolest" campsite we have visited. Zion National Park....surrounded by gorgeous peaks.....dont get any better than that!
