The French Riviera

In July a cute bikini, a blue Mediterrean Sea, and an Airstream is one way to keep cool. This French girl is showing the new way to go to the beach.

Yes, sir!

My husband, Price, says I should have noted that we consider ourselves very lucky to have one "hot" little Argosy Minuet living in the "cool" state of Colorado.

This hasn't been easy.

Judging is no cakewalk and I have a new appreciation for all judges that have gone before me. I've agonized over this, purusing though the photos, analyzing, admiring. We have a lot of good shots this month. Great job everyone!

August's theme phrase was "Chillin' in the Heat." Tinloaf's winning photo (posted by Soldiermedic) captures the essence of this theme for Airstreamiers, chillin' out by the campfire, the flags in the breeze. The focused details mixed with blurred faces and motion were interesting. Just a cool shot all the way around. Congratulations to Tinloaf!

I'm giving these two shots honorable mention.

Pintoman's photo was hot, intense, and rich. Very nice!

And GR8DANE's cool shot was crazy strange, unusual contrast with creative subject placement, and interestingly artistic reminiscent of some Georgia O'Keefe paintings (to me, at least). Plus, I like things that make me go "Hmmm".

Great contest D!

Congrats Loaf, but you didn't have to blur Amy's and my face out. Everyone knows who's trailer that is!

And to think I wasn't going to submit a photo because I didn't think it fit the theme.

Thanks everyone. I've had so much fun with the low-light photography that I've made this month's theme "Airstreams at Night."

Expect to see me at the Cape to Cairo and Airstreams in the Wilds rallies running around with a tripod taking pictures at night.

I saw that picture 2 years ago!
Back then they were saying it was Sean Penn's Airstream in Malibu just seconds before being ravaged.

The owner must have been out of town. there was most likely enough warning (hours at least) that someone could have gone in there earlier to pull the Airstream out of harms way.
