April 2014 Photo Contest
Thank you, Shari, for the honor of being selected to win the March photo contest, especially from a field of such great entries!
I would like the April contest to be linked to the March contest - there were many beautiful photos of winter - snow-encrusted Airstreams, animals foraging in the cold in the shadow of a dormant Airstream...
Many of you I am sure are just emerging from Winter's embrace, and ready to enjoy the warmth and emerging life of Spring.
And coupled with an inspiration from nilesrob's entry of last month, "Storm coming and going", which shows rivulets of rain flowing down an Airstreams panoramic window - I've spent many memorable moments watching those rivulets running down my window - just drop a couple of letters from "rivulets", you get "rivets"
Combining that with the colors and liveliness of Spring, the April theme becomes
"Rivets in Springtime"
So let your creative juices flow as the sap of the maple trees and the swollen creeks of the Spring thaw, and take this opportunity to show off your great photos of Airstreams in the waking wilderness in Springtime.
Extra credit for those shots which clearly display rivets!!!
Good luck!
Steve

Lights at the evening Friday Social at the annual spring Casini Ranch rally in California reflect off the rivets of a shiny trailer...
A closer look at the picture shows the evening spring sky reflected in both the trailer and the window, above the silhouetted trees. The window reflection reveals that the reflections on the trailer come from a string of flamingo lights. Flamingos, rivets, Airstream, springtime...it's all there.
Even when you know what the picture is really of, this image always reminds me of flaming dancers, celebrating the arrival of spring with joyful abandon.

Well Spring has sprung here in Larkspur, CO and I spent Friday/Sat dewinterizing my trailer, oops maybe a week early. I know this isn't exactly what those of you in thee warmer climates see in the springtime, but we'll take all the moisture (frozen or not) here in CO. Maybe not exactly the look you were going for for this months contest, but still reflective of April 14th here in CO. The warm weather is coming and April (snow) showers bring May flowers!
Cheers,
Bigcgar

On my iphone you click the text box and it bring open the keyboard...and just in that area there is an icon of a camera then next to the camera icond is a little photo icon...click that...then it should look familiar..choose photo from your camera roll...it then shows it as text attachment...then post it...

Theme: The Spring Season and Rivets
The first thing that came to mind was "spring chicken."
Presenting the FaN's mascot, posing beside a mighty fine row of rivets.....
