Rainbow Over the Cherry Blossum Rally

Here are a few! The Trailer Trash sign is one I picked up on my travels in Redondo Beach, LA and it's proudly on display in the front window of our 58 Sovereign of the Road trailer that, yes, I towed half done, to the Rally - probably it's first rally in 40 plus years - we call it our Hunk of Junk! The other two are of our President's rig and circus tent under the Rainbow on Thursday afternoon and then Colin's rig - his 59 Ambassador. Enjoy!

Sounds like a great time Rob. Nice pictures...Did you go looking for the pot-o-gold to help pay for the restoration? I'm impressed, though "half done" you have a nice polish job started

Thanks zamboni. I use it at part of my screen saver and walpaper background. I got a shot of double vision when I first viewed it online and my walpaper changet to it at the same time. Beautiful campground, had dolphins within 35 feet of the trailer.

That rainbow shot is gorgeous. Who says it has to be a pot o gold at the end of the rainbow - aluminum looks just fine.

Thumbs up Contributors...prizes!!!

-Just a reminder to please support our AWSOME prize donors.

It is the hope and expectation of our generous contributors that many of the visitors to the monthly photo contest thread will visit and spend money at their web sites. Please make a direct link from this post to their web site so that their tracking software will prove we do in fact visit. The VAP survives on donations alone and if you enjoy the show as much as I do you may be thinking it's time to make another donation

Vintage Trailer Supply has committed to supporting the forums photo contest monthly through the end of this year with a $10 Gift Certificate to each winner!!! If you wonder why so many vintage Airstreams are looking great these days go check out the ever expanding product line at VTS!

The Vintage Airstream Podcast will contribute their awesome VAP sticker, as seen in my avatar...
Love the Host Tim and the panel of pros? Yeah, me too.

Since this month's photo theme is all about creativity I immediately thought of Texas artist Paige Bridges at Vintage Travel Trailer Art. I have long admired her artwork and once you see it I am certain that you will too! She has graciously agreed to donate a Large Format Airstream Print of the winners choosing! Please visit her website to see the great variety available. I promised Paige that I would frame it for the winner to current museum conservation standards.

AirstreamRaffle.com
aka The Botkins Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC), a non-profit 501(c) (3), is working with the Botkins Memorial Pool Committee (BMPC), for the primary purpose of renovating The Botkins Memorial Pool. They have agreed to donate a raffle ticket valued at $100 for a chance to win a
19' 2007 Airstream Safari Bambi (MSRP $36,848)

InsideOut: I will sweeten the prize pot for the month of April with (2) flamingo cups. They are safe for travel being made of acrylic and the perfect happy hour size...unless your happy hour is a martini! Winner to PM me at the end of the month & I will send them out to you ~ Good luck to one & all! Shari

George and the Safari

In keeping with the theme of "anything goes" this month, I just had to submit this one. We were walking on my sister's ranch and her puppy came running up with this squeaky dog toy in his mouth. When he was done playing with it, it somehow ended up on top of a fence post, and, well, I just couldn't resist.

airdrmr- I love both pics! But the second one is so interesting- it has so many qualities, humor, beauty: it looks old yet, so modern... LOVE IT!

Hey Meredith,

Very nice photo! What a lovely composition of A/S, rolling hills, trees and fine-art absurdity! It must be nice to have an art-dog from the Bauhaus!

Is your sister's ranch near the Sedgwick Reserve?

Sedgwick Reserve

Hi DJ

Yes, my sister is the new Director of the Sedgwick Reserve. We've been spending a lot of time on the ranch with her, birdwatching, learning about the native flaura and fauna, and enjoying the 6000 acres of beautiful rolling hills. She and her puppy live in the original Sedgwick home - so much interesting Sedgwich family history there. Maybe the distant connection to Andy Warhol was inspiring me that day!

Please join us...

After we got our Safari home we threw a little cocktail party, printing this on one side of the invitations and party details on the other, like a postcard.

Is your photo not one of the valid file extension types (bmp gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png)?

Or possibly it exceeds the file size limitation (listed at the bottom of the "Manage Attachments" pop up window)?

We'll get this solved for you somehow!

Cheers,
-jd.

I was playing around with panos..

This is the first shot at using the merge feature in Photoshop to ‘stitch’ several images together into a panorama image. Maybe not the greatest composition in the world or the best light, but my interest is more in the mechanics of merging files at the moment. This image was created with a Nikon D50 (manual) paired with the Nikon 18-55mm zoom with the focal length at about 40mm. The camera was positioned vertically on the tripod. Eleven frames were combined in the making of this image.
