That's pretty cool......I guess seeing how I live out in the boonies they don't update or get quite that good a resolution as you have. Mine's only black and white and you can't really see too many details except for my house and the surrounding area...no stream . My friends house isn't even on it and it was built about 6 or 7 years ago....or maybe he has a super dupa eye in the sky force field blocker

I access Live Local just fine on my Mac, I did have to update my OS and Firefox first. Mac OS 10.3.9 and Firefox 1.5.0.9

Good luck,

Steve

A warning!

That's a neat search engine. Don't try downloading the 3D feature unless you read and understand the resource requirements listed on the download page. It crashed my laptop.

I installed it on my Dell desktop and it ran ok, but the 3D feature only seems to work on the satellite photos, and looks a lot like Goggle Earth. The 3D feature doesn't work on the closer aerial phots.

My house didn't used to be on the MS one, but I see they updated it, and there's the Caravel parked next to the new shop!

This is such a weird angle to see the house from, becaue it's looking at the back and side. Google maps always gets it from the front.

I got to it but it would not do much for me. I even tried msn and maps. I got a map of the area where my property is but could not save it.
I too am a Mac user. OS X 10.4.8 with firefox, safari, and opera....

I just did a printscreen and pasted it into my image editor. Cropped off the junk and saved it as a jpg. I know there's little apps you can get that do it easier, but that's my no hassle tried & true method.

This is the shot on google. It was taken the summer before, and you can see the shop roof is only trusses. Funny part is they must have taken it on the one weekend when we were out with the trailer that summer (we only took one trip while the shop was being built). I see my red miata in the driveway, but the van and Caravel are absent.

Do you live where the green arrow indicates or at the square labeled "my place"? Just wondering in case I wanna drop by unannounced for three days with my whole family and trailer in tow and a full black water tank.

I found my house but in this small town it's just black and white. I have no idea how to put it on here, but then I don't have a close-up shot and I have no pool. However, I have no neighbors either, so it's a good trade off. Pretty neat thing to see. Thanks

Depending which direction you view the area in, it will change the date the image was taken. One view of my home I see my old trailer, on another view I see a car in the drive I have never seen before. That makes me wonder.

My place. The green arrow is the point on which I searched. Greenough, MT
If you want to drop by for three day unannounced go to the green arrow. You are more likely to find humans. Right now alll that is on my property is Trees, rocks, grass, dirt, bears, elk, Coyotes, Deer and who know what else.

All the photos are pre Katrina, all the homes have new roofs and fencing now. Many trees are gone. My neighbors black pool has bee replastered and is now blue. The Globetrotter has been replaced with a new Safari. You can see how narrow my drive is and why I need a round Airstream to get a trailer in. The trailer is now behind double gates. The pictures were taken when we were moving in as I see a open trailer next to the GT which I used to haul trash and bring my MG to the house. I still wonder who the black car belongs to. Actually that photo is before I owned the house.

Thanks Jim
