Susan - you'll also need the AC shroud if you get yours working.

Wally - I could use the TV antenna cord plug if it is in good shape. Mine's toast. Thanks for offering this up for others in need. Repurposing is a good thing.

Susan when I got this trailer all the windows had been removed and the door had been sold. There were a few very rusty window pulls that they couldn't get off or decided weren't worth salvaging.

Brad is the plug at the antenna or inside the trailer?

I need the rear endcap, but I live in SC. It would prob prohibitive to ship. What do you think it would cost to ship if the segments were taken apart? Would you do that? Price?

Bo&Susan could use the window frames that are riveted to the shell ... theirs are all chopped up!

Shipping end cap segments to Atlanta cost about 160.00 It takes a huge box and lots of bubble wrap. I'll PM my phone #

Bob will you help take them out of the shell? It's just time and a bunch of rivets What is a shelled window frame worth?

No Congrats

Bob I'm surprised you weren't the first to congratulate me on the great looking Safari my wife found.

Well if I had seen it early enough I probably would have ... depending on the subfloor ...
Yes I would drill out the rivets 'cept I'm halfway across the country ... ya know?
... Oh! Nice Safari ... some interior shots?

I sure could use the window cranks. A couple of window operators would be good too. I do not have any keys so locks with matching keys would be great. If the mattresses/ cushions were worth saving (but I doubt it) it might be worth me paying for shipping. No side windows huh?

I'll pay a fair price + shipping. Let me know what you want.

Bob I just talked with Susan and learned she has a 62 Airstream. Since the body and caps changed in 64, will my window frames from the(67) fit her her 1962 trailer. Her trailer has 7 segments, mine has five. I'd hate to pull all those rivets and ship her something she can't use.

Guess the bottom line would be the dimensions of the riveted frame ... simple enough to suss ...

Back to the 56FC

Last week between distractions I finally got the first 4' of new plywood in place. I won't bolt it down until I get the next piece in position.
I removed the torn up wheel well, curb side, and had the local sheet metal shop make me a new one. Of course the street side had to be take off to have a good template. I guess that's the way it goes, you take more apart than you want to, to fix a problem. I apologize for the fuzzy wheel well photo
Once the next piece of plywood is installed, I'll remove the section by the door and find out how much welding it's going to take to repair the step mount. I'll take lots of photos.

57 13 segment Ohio built # 3459

I just couldn't pass this one up. I love the large side windows I really didn't need another one since I haven't spent any time with the 56 lately. Once all the lower body aluminum is replaced, the three segments replaced, and the windows are repaired, it will be a good candidate for a new interior. Is it worth all the work?
