New 1957 flying cloud owner
Just bought a 57 flying cloud that needs some work. I'm going to have a lot of questions about this one. The bottom of the trailer has two long metal tubes not connected to anything. Does anybody know what they are for? Thanks for the help. Mike
If they're something like 4" in diameter they're probably storage tubes for the black tank drain "slinky" . . . and/or storage for an awning of some type.
Post Pictures . . . and there's also a Flying Cloud registry thread to post your serial number. Good Luck.

Good Job!!! you have the best now. Yes, those are the slinky stowage tubes. Pretty worthless because they don't fit the end fittings for those slinkys.

Thanks for the help. More questions to follow. Not sure when I will be working on it. It was a good buy I couldn't pass up. I will post some pictures as soon as I get my computer fixed. Can post photos with an iPhone.
Great to see another Cloud rescued! I'm loving my '58 restoration! Really been a great experience with my family. Can't wait to hit the road with it next summer and create even more memories. "Once you get on a Cloud, it's hard to come back down."
