So there I was, pulling out my hair...

I spent the past 3 evenings doing the trailer light harness on my new-to-me 1999 Suburban. 3 days? Yup, the left tail/turn/stop light just would NOT cooperate.

Anyway, about 7PM last night, my wife comes out to get something out of the Basecamp and points out that the contacts for both of the lights look dirty. DOH! I hadn't thought of the door to body light connections on the trailer. She goes in and gets a fine grit emory board, cleans them up, and voila, lights!

She's a keeper...

Don't you just hate it when the wife one-ups you with something so simple that you can't see the obvious. Been there, done that.

Another very good reason why we need them. Our problem is realizing that. I've always said that once us guys come to understand that we are totally useless, and ignorant...life changes and we are happier from then on out. Would save a lot of marriages...if we could just get the young guys to learn that sooner. We are at 40 years together and counting.

Ye-ah, but we can't let the women know this or it would go straight to their heads and we surely never would hear the end of it.

Geez, Bob, when I read the title for this one I thought "what a wonderful thing it must be to still have enough hair on your head that you can afford to pull some out, or even have some to actually pull out".

The worst part of it is that they (the ladies) know when they have a gotcha going and are so polite about it = sometimes. They only tell two or three couples.

Recent example..

Over the Show America Your Airstream weekend we were on our first trip

with a new hitch set-up.

I had complianed several times about not really

being able to see the rig as an 18 wheeler....ya know, was it all over the

road, or what?

Possibly to prevent any further outbursts my Co-pilot replied...."if you had

hooked up the cb you could ask them" DUH

Passed on to all the friends by now!!!!
