Replacement for side visor with ARB

Recently replaced the side visor (Pahaque VSBCP) which really does not provide enough weather protection with an ARB Aluminum 2500MM. Installed above the door side of the basecamp and covers nearly the entire length (2.5meters). Was a bit tricky to get it in the right place. I have details of the install if anyone is interested. Best part is it is always installed for easy setup and protected by an aluminum cover.

Also, if anyone wants to buy a barely used Basecamp side visor shade. Make an offer. thanks

ARB Awning install

Here are some photos of my ARB 2500 awning install.
I wanted it below the roof and attached to the side rather the roof.
I used Aluminum T-rail from 80/20 plus a modified ARB bracket.
Attached using stainless rivet nuts into the skin/frame and screws in 2 places.
I had to relocate the light, but that was simple and barely cleared the top of the door.

Wow that is cool. Any pics with it fully extended? So you remove it when your towing?

Remove. No. not required. It is mounted very well. And does not stick out more than an inch or so past the wheel fender. I'll post photos from my outing next weekend.

@gin I would love to get more details on your install. About to take possession of my basecamp and the awning replacement is priority #1. Thanks!

Hi Jerrick, no problem. what details do you need? The install is not so simple, but i can provide more photos or help if you like. I've since added the ARB room enclosure with floor for this awning which adds a nice side room to the BC. I've also got the rear tent, but it was not worth the $. I would likely only use it if I'm camped out in one place for a week or more as it is not so easy to install.

Honestly, I'm not sure what I need. I guess I'm trying to see if this is something I should shop out to get done or if it's something I can tackle. Regardless, more pictures and maybe a list of materials used would be a great start.

You're setup with the room enclosure is exactly what we're looking for. We've used that awning system on our land cruiser and love it. I'm thinking it would be an awesome addition to the trailer.

By the way, would doing this mod void any type of warranty?
