Brake controller and Bike rack

I had the pleasure to enjoy our BCX for the last 6 months and despite minor fixes, we like it very much. Being new to the RV world, I still learn every day. For example, I have some difficulty to get a clear answer about the need to have a brake controller. I have an Audi Q7, but I don’t know if I need one. I’ve also been looking around for the proper bike rack to put at the front or back of the BCX. I already have kayaks on the SUV. Any suggestions to my two questions?

What does your Audi manual say? If there was an integrated brake controller I would assume the manual would tell you. As a simple test you could jack up one side of the trailer, spin the wheel, hit the brakes and see it the wheel stops.

You need a brake controller to make the trailer brakes work. Either a factory installed or aftermarket is OK. But you need trailer brakes ( when you need brakes ).
