Basecamp Adventures

Thought this would be a fun place for folks out enjoying their Basecamp trailers to share some adventures! Please do so here or drop links here to threads elsewhere on AF that you already created to share those adventures.

Lots of photos will help us vicariously enjoy your stories, and/or you could provide links to photos you already posted on Instagram, etc. We're eager to hear about your fun camping adventures, especially when you're doing things folks might not do with a conventional Airstream trailer. Share, share, share.

Happy BC adventuring!

The Basecamp is great for boondocks but I couldn't get across this bridge on Porter's Creek.

Thanks for the new thread. FWIW Airstream refers to this new trailer with the single word "Basecamp" --

This is my trip from March, I posted some pic's elsewhere, but this new thread is the perfect place to reflect on what the Basecamp can do and it's awesome. I can't wait to cross on the ferry again. Have a great day !
This is the small Dauphin Island Ferry ship, The big girl was in dry dock for repairs that day....

Great shots thanks! This ferry crosses the mouth of Mobile Bay, Alabama, right?

Have a great Memorial Day weekend.

Yes its cool,
Dauphin Island to Fort Morgan, anyone going look up the schedule on line and departure and wait times....I was first in line cause I had a happy accident and showed up really early. I think the large ferry goes back on line this weekend. They were not taking RV's the day I went on the small ship. But the Captain said the BC could ride cause of her size. Happy accident !

First overnight May 29 - May 30. Campground is Shinnecock East on Long Island. It's right on the ocean. BC towed fine through the soft sand Long Island is known for. Set up and leveling was super quick. It was chilly so we did run the heat which worked great. Click image for larger version

Escaped the smoke in Seattle...

Took another adventure in our Basecamp. Still very happy with it! We camped at the Elwha Dam RV camp outside Port Angeles, WA. All the parks were full and we wanted something other than Walmart parking lot ;-)

All went well. Smelled a bit of a burning smell when we turned on the hot water heater. We also tried and tried with a strap wrench to get the short legs off the tables! Visited our friendly Airstream repair guys (thanks Matt and Cord!) and the table legs are all sorted.

We also figured out the bedding situation. We used a mattress topper over the cushions and two twin comforters for warmth. Then we figured out the back and forth to store the bedding and reconstitute the dining area. It went really smoothly!

Looking for a used BaseCamp

A little help would be great! Hoping that someone knows of a used 2017+ BC. I'm a consumer, not a dealer.

Thank you!

The dealer in Portland, OR has at least 3 in stock as of last week when we visited.
