Sara, if you are considering an all aluminum
trailer, you could consider a Featherlite SURV. A toyhauler that is made to carry vehicles. Mine carries an OHV & 2 dual sport motos + 2 electric bikes & can sleep 6. 6,000 lb payload makes this possible. It has plenty of tie down pads, too.
Featherlites trailers are aluminum, have rivets, & don't need a sheet metal steel frame.

It certainly has the design and the room for the bikes, so if you could carry some of your gear in the tow vehicle it could work.

Just a side thought, if you really like the base camp, and both bikes will fit, a stronger axle can be ordered and installed. A new axle might run you $1200-1500.

One other concern would be if the frame could handle the increased weight. If it's out of spec the belly pan can be dropped, and the frame could be beefed up.

I have a Basecamp and it will not haul two bikes, not wide enough inside and their are no other toy hauler Airstreams.

hypergirl -- just back from a camping trip, and want to correct something I posted earlier. I was picturing smaller bikes than what you have, and was probably wrong when I said your bikes would fit in a Basecamp.

The interior body width at the widest point is 72", but that is reduced by the seats when folded up. The weight is also an issue.

My error, I forgot about those two. Thanks. Will they haul two bikes, do you know?

Why not just get a dual bike hitch helper (Motorcycle Carrier Hitch Helper) and then whatever trailer you want?

There are versions that carry two bikes, even a version that is one bike and a car dolly (without the pass-thru tow hitch though - on the dolly version that is)

Then tongue weight becomes a non-issue- no weight on tow vehicle-
Will it handle a Harley touring bike?

The ones shown on the website are the standard builds (and I was told they make them in batches so have standard ones available off-the-shelf). There are lots of videos/photos online (posted by the company) showing non-standard layouts like this,

https://youtu.be/XtoCC5g0y0c

But there are other vendors as well (Mountain Master Truck Equipment)

If you do a little research, these type of tow helpers are very commonly used to assist with hitch weight issues, adding the motorcycle carrier to the helper is the novel part.

Could I then realistically attach a 10,000# 30' Airstream behind with 1,000# tongue weight on that with an 800# bike on it?

I guess that is a question for the vendor .There is plenty of evidence of them being used to pull boats weighing way over 10,000lbs, and even preventing DP RV/motorhome grounding out. It is well within the specs of the unit and what they are built for!

hypergirl -- Since you asked if there was "any Airstream that would work", here is a far out possibility that looks like it could carry your two bikes plus absorb all of the creativity you might muster!

There's a video on YouTube of a 70's Airstream turned into a car hauler.
Check it out.
