Quality control

My '06 had doors falling off and delamination within the first week. My '07 has had no QC issues at all. I hope that continues.

Very kewl…. Just not sure about the target market. At $27k and up, it would seem out-of-reach for new grads or young couples…

Base Camp Owners?

Have any fellow Airstream Forumers become Base Camp owners. It would be interesting to hear some feedback.

No, but that sticker is making me feel much better about the work I'm putting into my Vintage Flying Cloud.

Cool looking vehicle though.

Manteca

WHen I picked up my Bambi last week the dealer had a Base Camp they were setting up. Don't know if it was sold or not. Give Manteca Trailer and RV (http://www.mantecatrailer.com/Media/Parts.html) a call. Great dealership and they just moved into a new facility with the largest RV service department in the state they say.

Go to the Basecamp subforum, there are several threads. Only one owner so far, I think.

What attracted my wife and I to the Basecamp was that it will be able to serve double duty as a utility trailer when doing craft shows (my wife is a woodworker) and when I do commercial photo shoots and carry lot's of gear. (BTW - Patrick was our salesman and the one we bought is the one to which he posted the link back in September). It's pretty much going to be a rolling office when it's not used for camping. I can't say that I'd want to put my bulky equipment cases and lighting gear in a "fancy" AS, nor do I want to work in a barren utility trailer on the road. I have a feeling that models will prefer changing clothing in the Basecamp rather than in the back of my TV. It's a perfect fit for us long time tent campers.
