Dave Seems to me I remember hearing that one of the 75 burned in a fire at a dealer?
Is this the thread you are thinking of? If so, I believe it was a Base Camp that was burned rather than a 75th Anniversary David Winnick Bambi. Although I know there were more Airstreams involved than just this one Base Camp…

75th Anniversary Bambi loss:
Totally unrelated to the fire in Chicago at the Airstream dealership, is a loss of trailer #59.
Burned in a warehouse fire. I'm going to be building a new trailer for the owners.
The owners are Nick and Karen Zaknich

Hey, another Oscar Levant Fan. What are you building them?
Not quite a Bambi, but fr8shaker has a 75 Anniversary Airstream. It's a triple axle, though.

We currently tow our 75th (#18) with a Toyota Sequoia. If I had some money I would shop for a vintage or retro tow vehicle for it. My question to the elite group of us (73 maybe?) that are lucky enough to own one, what would be the classiest tow vehicle? Maybe a late forties to early fifties woody?
Not sure what you mean by 'what are you building them'
Another memorable quote 'I don't drink. I don't like it. It makes me feel good'.

My assumption is that the question is, "What type of trailer will you be building for them?"
I'm interested as well. Will it be another late-model Bambi, or something else? I noticed on your website that you are now building more of these in similar design to your original, but with varied options for woods and finishes.
Anyway, it's good to see you on the Forums, I'm a huge fan of your designs.

Thanks Marcus,
That's exactly what I meant.
I like that Levant quote too. My line came from "The Memoirs of an Amnesiac".
