Hi all...
This is my first post and I am looking for some feedback. I have been researching used Bambis for a while and am interested in the 2007 75th Anniversary Bambi. What is a fair price for this trailer? How difficult are these to find? I just love the design, and I think it will be perfect for 2 and 2 dogs.
Thanks.
I would re-think that size, we have a 28' with 2 and 2 dogs and its just about right, I would not look at anything smaller than 25' for 2 and 2, unless you and the other 1 are really close and like your dogs closer.
First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.
As to your questions, I assume your are referring to the Special Edition 19' Bambi that was produced to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Airstream Company. Just 75 of these units were made, and I believe that they were all 2006 model year trailers.
They were pretty pricey, and weren't exactly hot sellers. I have been in a couple on dealers lots over the past few years. I particularly like the custom flooring, the porthole window in the door, and the baby moon hubcaps.
There were still a couple of these new at dealers as recently as a year or so ago.

There is a listing at WBCCI.org site for a 2006 Bambi. That one probably is not the Winick designer Airstream???
I would suggest doing a google search and looking here and all classifieds and EBay to see what the asking price is for the various units in different parts of the country.
Colonial Airstream has a lot of great pictures and even some video of the Airstreams. Scroll down and there are Bambis of every size and trim and year. The advertised price should have room for negotiation. They have a 2000 Bambi for 21,000 something too.
2006 - 19' AIRSTREAM BAMBI 75TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION, trailer has been used for only one trip, has less than 1,000 mi. and is like new. Shower and black water tank have never been used. Pictures available. $29,000. Ph. 425-572-5338, Email jandlfaris@comcast.net (Renton, Washington).
Happy hunting.

What Bob says about size is good to consider too. Actually spend alot of time in a Bambi going through the camping motions. Many people trade up for larger Airstreams right away. Bambis are cute as a button but buttons aren't very big. There may come a time when you crave comfort over style and you find that a slightly larger unit still has both facets covered. A gently used model will keep more of its value than a new one.

I love the Bambi also, especially that special commemorative model. That being said, I'm afraid that I have to agree that it would be a bit tight for two adult humans and two dogs.
If your travel plans include only short term use (two or three days at a time), it might be doable. Corner beds are not real conducive to extended use. The addition of multiple canines would enhance the drama. But, to each their own.
Good luck in your search.

Saw your post re 75th Bambi. I have one for sale, in perfect condition. All accessories, very little use, stored inside, never smoked in, etc. Let me know if you're still looking. Located in WA state. Can send full pix if you're interested.
Looks like Colonial finally sold the repo 75th anniversary #44.
It was listed at $29,000? Pretty nice price!! (unless it was banged up a lot).
In regards to size, we use ours about 40 nights a year, no dogs, cats or kids. Maximum trips are typical 10 days. Next year we will do our first road trip, 2 weeks heading east to Nova Scotia.
The 19fter works great for us. The bed design in the David Winick version is excellent and opens up more floor space. Also without the extra closet and without the fridge up high to doesn't feel as 'tight' as other 19ft layouts. We have no plans to go bigger... but thats us.
Think I have a few updates for the 75th anniversary registry to enter... been busy as heck camping and working lately...
Just heading out in a few hours for upstate NY for our last trip of the season!
