What's this switch

Right by the rear of the hitch is this switch. What's it for?

Doesn't look factor. The light next to it looks like the reverse polarity light. I first thought the switch might turn off the light if you plug into an outlet that is reversed polarity so you don't have to have the light on but then why would you keep it plugged in if it was reversed.

If it were mine, I'd see if I could tell where the wires are going.

Without an exact evaluation of where the wires are going, it would seem that they cross through floor inside the trailer and disappear under the fridge.

Maybe an obvious question... but what happens when you flip it?

I am a long way from doing that at the moment.

Mystery solved. The wires run to the IGN terminal behind the fridge which when tripped takes the 12v option away from the fridge. However not sure why it was located where it is.

I'm glad you have it solved. Does the fridge in there run on 12v? Maybe they wanted to make sure that they could shut that option off so it wouldn't drain their tow vehicle battery if they parked somewhere for an extended bit of time. Just a thought...

Complying to Usage in Tunnels or Refueling?

Maybe the PO installed it to turn off the fridge after closing off the propane so they could travel through tunnels or when refueling their tow vehicle?

From what I have read, the fridge operating priority is 120v, 12v then lp gas. So when towing 12v would be the priority. I can only believe that the po wanted to have this choice as chilipepper suggested.
