Toolbox Grey?? Sears??

Hello,

Weve been told that Sears "Toolbox Grey" paint will match the exterior dark grey on the box behind the gas tanks, the hitch and steel structural beams underneath. However, when we went to a Sears store (not a big one, this one only carries some appliances and a few other things in stock) the person there (who tried hard to be helpful) couldn't find anything that Sears carries called Toolbox grey. Any help??

Thanks,

Dick & Lesly

Thanks, John, for the reply and the information. We had hoped to avoid the high OEM cost of the paint.

Our excella is 1993. How do you tell if it is an excella 1000 or something else?

We've had it for about 4 yrs and have put about 25000 miles on it. So far we really really like it.l

1000?

dick and lesly

if it is a 1000 it should say so right on the side of the trailer in large cast aluminum letters.

but, since yours is a year newer than mine that may have changed!

Was the Walmart grey called "toolbox grey"? Was it spray or can? Since it matches the motorhome it's likely to match the trailer (I hope).

Thanks

Lesley, I use Duplicolor T183W gray, about $3 from Wal-Mart. This thread refers: http://www.airforums.com/forum...ght=duplicolor .If you do a search of the forums on "duplicolor", you will find a few other threads of interest. Nick.

It was a spray and not called toolbox grey as I looked at the top of the can to see what I thought would match and it did perfectly, I will look in the M/H and see if I can find the can and get the color Wed. and post it if I find it.

Tool Box Gray

I just came from Sears with my can of spray paint, $2.49 plus tax. It is labeled as Tool Box Gray. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for all the info!

Thanks to everyone for all the information on gray paints! Thanks Nick for the detailed info on the Walmart paint, and to Scott (you will probably find that it is Duplicolor T183W gray) and to Hugh and Nita. I guess you have to go to a "real" Sears store to find the tool box gray.

This is the first inquiry I've made to the forum. It sure is a great source of help and information, and I really appreciate your help.
