Soft Roof

I just purchased an 02 26 ft Land Yacht Motorhome. When installing a satellite dish I noticed the roof above the driver to be " soft ". At first I thought it was rotted but after finishing mounting the reinforcement plate I realized the fiberglass roof had separated from the wood it was glued too. The wood underneath seems solid. I'm wondering if I should drill some small holes ( oh No ) in the roof and inject some glue to solidify that section again. It extends about one foot from the edge and rearward three feet. ANYBODY BEEN THERE DONE THAT??
Thanks,
Navin

Yes. I drilled 1/8 holes all over in repeating pattern as you can see in picture. I started at the "solid" edge drilling g then filling. Drilled half depth or less. If I hit good wood I stopped. Do not drill all way through!!! Duh moment.

Inject from solid toward loose edge. Let it wick into pores. Pour remainder over top and "work into surface.

Did same in bass boat deck. Taped concentric circles from loose area by deck pedestal then marked tape and drilled through tape at those spots. Injected at each drill hole. The tape was lifted quickly after injection so minimal sticking to tape. Without tape we would have never found drill holes to inject.

One year and still fishing!
