Rooftop Patina

Friends, I'm about to polish a 1959 Caravanner, and I noticed the A/S featured in the Air Classified banner, the one parked next to an old ranch fence, appears to have either left the rooftop oxidized or maybe painted it a primer grey. Any, it looks kinda nice that way. What are your thoughts???
