Resurrecting Ghosts

We are restoring a '57 Custom. I know most folks are trying to get rid of the "ghost" of decals on their rigs. Anyone know how to get them back for historical reasons, to see where our "Herk" has been? We can read some of them but not all. They consist of the year and location of the venture, possibly the Caravan whereabouts for that year.

Herky Pig,

Post what you can make out and a picture. Perhaps someone can help.

Greetings - Yes, ghosts can be lots of fun. Are these water decals? Where were they applied, the door? A little more info and I know if not me someone else may be able to step up and help. Photos will help!

I'm doubtful but....

I wonder if there is enough color variation to use an infrared camera? They measure heat signatures and it may be a long shot, but worth a try if you can borrow one. Fire Departments use them, if your local department has one I'm sure they would check the numbers for you if you drove it down to the station.

With todays vinyl cut machines and computers you should be able to duplicate them. I have made a copy of a few and attached them using cling material. The one I like the most is the around the world tiger decal.
