I lost mine too…a lot of us have.
An RV shop used to make replacements. They stopped because there were too many problems with them not fitting.
I was lucky enough to find a replacement door from a junker. But before I found it, I made my own. ( which seems to be the cheapest option, and you know it's gonna fit

I lost the rear door on my 1968 Tradewind and was heartsick about it. InlandRV had the part, but you will pay top price.

I lost the battery compartment door from my Bambi II. Measured and bought precut replacement aluminum plate from onlinemetals.com.

Isn't that the refrigerator access door? If it is, it's got to be louvered.
I would look at a junkyards.
Google RV junkyards.

On the '70's trailers the door is solid with a screened opening under the refrigerator. On my '76 there is a piano hinge on the bottom of the door. Perhaps someone on the forum will have one.

It's been many years since I owned a 70's. Guess I forgot.

Why IS that ???
70s hole in the floor and belly pan, solid door ...
I was thinking of lining the plywood to belly skin with aluminum sheet. But instead I think I'll change to a louvred door once I figure out how much opening is needed then seal up the underside. I hate to think how much water comes in there driving in a storm, but a louvred door might not be much better.

The plus side...
A fan over the floor opening on our 63 supplied much cooler air from under the trailer while parked.
The down side....
I had to remember to it cover the screen while towing or the flame blowed out.

Welcome to the Forums!
First, it will be well worth your time to take a drive back down that road and see if it isn't lying on the side of the road somewhere.
Check Silver Trailer Supply, as I believe they sell some used parts. You might also look through the Airstream Classifieds. There is usually someone parting out a trailer, and they may have what you need. You are looking for the refrigerator access door from a 1970's trailer, which should be pretty standard from 1969 to 1979, but take measurements of the inside of where the door fits so you can be very specific about what you need.
The bad news is that no matter where you find it, it won't be cheap. Expect to pay over $100. And if you are on a tight budget, hold onto your hat, because fixing up one of these trailers is not a cheap hobby.
Good luck!

That door is no longer available from Airstream.
The replacement is only 11 inches tall, same width.
You would have to install a plate at the top, to use the replacement.

I just bought 2 doors. for around $110 and they are stainless.
https://airstreamsupply.com/index.ph...=account/login
Check the numbers to see it they fit. They have different openings and most expect you will have old door to remove Screen / venting .
Stainless Steel Upgrade for Atwood Furnace 39764W-02 1 $103.95 $103.95 Stainless Steel Water Heater upgrade 39765W-02 1 $113.95 $113.95
You may give them a call or send them a pict if you do not see exact one.
Best of luck.

so anything else to help make it look original ? should I order new or old locks?

I was going to make one yesterday but I got really lucky and one showed up on ebay for 122.00 after shipping that seems like a great fit so I bought it and fingers crossed that it works out.
also I worked on my windows today so im feeling like im getting to a good start. cleaning, sealing, and also shine it up with aluminum polish on edges. 1 window down haha

Do you make doors for others? How much? You may have found your new vocation.
Or can you tell us handy men how to do it.
Thanks

Go back to Airstream Supply. IT WORKS. YOU HAVE TO CALL IN YOUR ORDER. They should say that somewhere. I got 2 doors hot water heater and cabin heater . Plug and play. Stainless and Aluminum are close in color , but not exact.
