Can anyone help me with terminology so I can ask for the correct part?
Its the part that holds the glass (sash?) and rotates about its top horizontal edge within the frame.
Also, does anyone know of a fabricator that could make this part?
According to Steve at VTS, RV window manufacturers call the part that swings, the "front frame" & the part that is fixed to the body is the "back frame". I don't know of anyone currently building them, however we have thought about it. It'll probably happen after our 13 panel end cap kits are ready for shipment. Keep in mind that many other trailer manufacturers used this type of window in the 50's. They are known as "Hehr Standard" windows.
Good luck,
Colin
BTW: We have the original propane-only fridge from this thing and: 1. I'd hate to scrap it 2. I'd like to get something for it and 3. Its a beast of a thing and must weigh 300 lbs. The propane portion works well but it doesn't quite get cold. Any suggestions???
