Hello,
I am looking for a resource for J hinge replacement for the cargo door on my 1970 globetrotter. The current hinge looks like it has been bent and then bent back into position several times and is very thin. It looks like the same hinge that is on all of the windows.
It is the same hinge as the windows. However we used to flip the doors over and install them with a piano hinge. It was much handier that way. Also you couldn't drive away without the door.
Do you mean a 'hurricane hinge? The teardrop trailer aficionados use them for their galley hatches. The are extruded and can be bought cut to size, up to 72" wide, but they may be available for even longer lengths.
Following DremStremer's suggestion, I revisited Vintage Supply. I did find a window hinge, no pics or much of a description. I am going to order a piece and will report back here if it is correct.
