Greasy Shocks

Silly question I think I know the answer to. Just drove my AS across the country and all four shocks are greasy/oily/dirty on the outside. Time to replace them? Not sure when they were replaced if ever...they could be 16 or 47 years old...

Time to replace..the seals re leaking oil...
