Eyebrow(?) Window Problem

The sealed "eyebrow" windows over the primary windows of my '74 Ambassador all have this problem ... shards of what seems to be plastic film contained between the interior/exterior panes. I'm assuming this was some sort of sun film installed at the factory.

These windows are sealed, so other than opening them up and removing it is there any way to getting this eyesore out (ie. somewhere to vacumn out the flimsy material)?

Thanks.

This is a problem for all of us with older AS. Go to the "Forums" section and check out windows. It will not be an easy fix no matter what you decide to do. We have never decided to tackle the problem and just leave those windows shut off. I would really like to have them clean, but they are very hot in Summer and very cold in Winter. Maybe when we retire we will attempt a fix for ours. Good luck and welcome to the Forum.
