clear coat

Well I decided to polish my 24' Land Yacht Safari and discovered it has clear coat on it. I started using Kleen Stripper to take off the clear coat, waited 15 minutes, hosed it off, and scraped it off and this is what I ended up with. It looks like the clear coat is off but it looks like different shades of aluminum.
What is the best stripper I can use and the best proceedure for taking this clear coat off??????
Any help would be appreciated.

There are many thoughts on this process. Aircraft Stripper (like they use on aluminum aircraft) is the strongest. The problem is, if you don't get it all off asap, it will form a film. So, multiple applications are needed...which is probably the problem that you are experiencing right now.
