Cleaning '79 Excella 500 shell
Hello Airstream world! This weekend I purchased my first ever Airstream, a 1979 Excella 500, 31 footer, rear bath, center bedroom. I couldn't be more excited about this adventure as well as putting some work into it. I'd say it's in fair condition considering it's age... it could use some tlc but also could be taken on trip tomorrow!
I have a million questions and have started gathering information on this airstream but I'll start with a simple one... The shell is in good shape but needs to be cleaned. It's dirty, oxidized (I think?), and doesn't shine like it once did. In the future I'd like to polish it and get that mirror like shine, but right now I'm just looking to clean it up a bit.
What solvents/cleansers/chemicals do you recommend for giving it a good bath? Also, what scrubbing devices, materials, or tools should I use?
