Aluminum Weep Hole Covers

Well.....I stripped out the shower liner from my '87' 290 Motor home. Behind the old vinyl/plastic liner was a really large (2 ft by 7 foot) sheet of aluminum. Not a cheap hunk of metal these days! I've figured out how I can cut one piece of aluminum from the sheet and fold it, like Origami, into a rivetable window weep hole cover! When completed, maybe this weekend, I'll post a picture. I know after mine crumbled in my hand and having read the lamenting of so many owners, there needs to be a better way! Lets just see what happens. I've been Aluminated!

Hello, how did you make out with your aluminum weep hole covers. I need to redo my entire 345 and would hate to get the old plastic ones again. If you have any information I would really appreciate it. Thank you. aeking1965@yahoo.com

Why not use the plastic covers?

Your first ones only lasted 25 years.

Not too bad, considering how cheap they are.
