A-Frame to Skin Trim Piece
This is my first post, but this forum has been an invaluable resource while restoring my 75' 27ft International Overlander. I am looking for the plastic trim piece that shrouds the A-frame members where they meet the skin. I have tried searching on VT Supply, Silver Trailer Supply & ODMRV to no avail. I have attached a couple photos of mine from the frame-off phase. They appear to be in good condition, but when I removed them, they crumbled from decades of UV damage. Thanks to everyone in advance for your help!

Welcome to the forums.
That part is known as an A Frame Closeout, and has been NLA for many years.

Thanks for the info! Now I know that I will need to come up with another solution. Has anyone else had the same dilemma, and what did you come up with for making this look good while also sealing this joint from water infiltration?

I just found this old post.
I bought a pair of NOS A-frame closeouts on eBay a couple of years ago. They were expensive but I needed them. I’ve yet to install them.
If they are NLA and nobody is making them I’ll look into having them reproduced if there’s a need.

There is another thread on these forums where someone was looking into having some made via 3D printing and was gathering up interested parties, but as I recall, nothing came of it.

That was probably also mine. I got some quotes on 3D printing but they were really expensive. Now I’m going to look into thermoforming plastic.

Get someone to bend and cut to match profile two pieces of 1/8” aluminum and tigweld them together. Would not be a hard project.

My thoughts exactly. I ended up taking some scrap alclad aluminum sheet and making these pieces myself. It actually turned out better than the original plastic. It takes a little time to get the curve right, but well worth the time!

Also interested to see how aluminum would work for these closeouts.

Sorry for not getting back on this, it must have slipped past me.
It's currently dark where I am, but I will definitely take a picture tomorrow to post.

Here are my close-outs. Before I Riveted them on, I coated the back of the pieces with Sika-Flex. If you have the ability to weld thin aluminum, that would be better, I plan on applying Sikaflex where the two pieces meet.
